Use prices for the same person, travel dates, train or service class, and booking conditions. A discounted non-refundable ticket and a flexible pass offer different terms even when their costs are close. This tool compares the amounts you enter; it does not fetch live prices or determine which journeys a pass covers.

Include the tickets you still need

The individual-ticket total is the sum of all entered fares. The pass option adds the pass price, your extra pass fees, and each fare marked as not covered. This prevents an excluded journey from silently disappearing from the comparison.

For example, suppose a hypothetical pass costs ₩100,000, two covered tickets cost ₩60,000 each, and an uncovered ticket costs ₩20,000. With no extra fees, individual tickets total ₩140,000 and the pass option totals ₩120,000. The difference is ₩20,000. These are arithmetic examples, not current Korean transport prices.

Confirm the practical conditions

Before buying, check who is eligible, which services and dates are covered, whether seat reservations are separate, and what happens if plans change. A pass does not automatically mean that the train you want has an available seat.
